Our Story... |
In 2016 I auditioned for NBC's TV show, The Voice. Being in such a small town (Hot Springs, VA) word got around fast about my audition. One night, while working at the Omni Homestead resort, a band took a chance on me and let me on stage to sing a song with them. I chose to sing my audition song, "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" by Meghan Trainor. Their sound engineer that night took an interest in me, and wanted to see me succeed in a musician career. He wanted to keep in touch through school and ensure I followed my passion.
We became very close and over the years I graduated high school and community college and decided it was time for the next chapter of my life. I texted my friend and explained that it was time for me to continue my education at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. The week I moved to Richmond, he texted me the name of a guy who would quickly become a big brother to me, Justin Boswell. Justin, or "Boz," as you may know him, introduced me to a handful of talented musicians later that week who no sooner became family as well. These musicians had heard my YouTube cover of "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood and they all had one thing in common-- they wanted to see me succeed in music. Some were great fits, some didn't work out, but in the end we had a phenomenal experience together that I wouldn't trade for the world.
Over the years, I've done things I never imagined I'd get the chance to do in this lifetime. I've sang 300+ shows in the 3 years we've been together and I've loved every single minute of it. While there has been a lot of sweat, and tears put into it, this band has been everything I could have hoped for and more. Today, I share the stage with Dean Berry, Jeb Bach, and Corey Marshall. Join us on this journey; it has been a wild ride, but it's only going to get wilder!
